A broker associate with the Charlotte office of Premier Sotheby's International Realty, Courtney Fowlkes is a real estate advisor with a genuine love for people. She takes a creative approach to life and values true connections with her clients. With a kind, yet firm, spirit, Courtney fiercely advocates on her clients' behalf while working to engage, educate, and empower them. She will be with you every step of the way to ensure you achieve your real estate goals.

Courtney has lived in Charlotte for 25+ years and has loved seeing what she refers to as “the hidden gem of the South” become a vibrant city that has so much to offer. Courtney attended the University of North Carolina – Charlotte for both her undergraduate and graduate studies. She was a college cheerleader and an active participant in student leadership. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and communications and a Master of Arts in community mental health counseling with a specialty in addiction.

Previously, Courtney was the clinical director of the SABER Treatment Program, which is part of the local nonprofit Roof Above. The program served men experiencing homelessness and provided mental health and addiction treatment. A rare modality in that it combines abstinent contingent housing and treatment services, the program is seen as one of the best practices in ending chronic homelessness. Courtney believes wholeheartedly in the process of recovery and seeing the daily transformation in individuals' lives was the greatest privilege of her life. She has and will always be a fierce advocate for those experiencing homelessness, addiction, and/or mental health struggles.

Courtney has served a wide range of buyers and sellers, from luxury real estate to helping a former client who now has 10 years in recovery buy his first home. She truly has an uncanny ability to meet each person's situation and needs. Her background in psychology, as well as a master's degree in counseling, allows her to effectively communicate with buyers, sellers, and investors, while her creative eye and passion for design give her the ability to help clients see their potential space. Courtney has completed the Workforce Housing Specialist program, which will enable her to work with local nonprofits serving first-time buyers and clients seeking affordable housing.

With a strong passion for bringing people together to serve, Courtney provides several opportunities a year for individuals to volunteer and learn more about the services our community provides, with the hope individuals will get involved. In addition to her enthusiasm for volunteering, she enjoys yoga, working out, spending time with friends and family, traveling and anything outdoors with her black Lab, Hutch.

Courtney has never met a stranger and welcomes the opportunity to walk alongside you in your journey to find a place to call home.
