A North Carolina native with a degree in Art History and Interior Design from Wake Forest and Salem College, Debran moved to Washington in 1993 to follow her passion for historic preservation, art, and architecture. Over the years she has taken on leadership roles for various non-profit fundraising events, hosted an art show to benefit the local non-profit, Homestretch, organized the Old Dominion Neighborhood Day and Market, served as a docent at the National Building Museum, volunteered with the Junior League of Washington, as co-president of the Wake Forest Alumni Club of DC, and served on the Wake Forest Alumni Council. Additionally, Debran is a member of the White House Historical Society, George Washington’s Mount Vernon, Reynolda House Museum of American Art, Arlington Historical Society, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and a lifetime member of the National Building Museum.
Debran attends St. Mary’s Episcopal of Arlington and in her free time, enjoys playing golf, kayaking, walking her Brittany Spaniel, cheering her sons at their ball games, discovering the hottest DC-area restaurants, and exploring all the DC metro area has to offer.
