Layne Shea

Born and raised in Aspen’s historic West End, Layne Shea is a true Aspen native whose lifelong connection to the community gives her clients a unique advantage in the competitive Aspen and Snowmass real estate markets. Her real estate journey began early—growing up in a family deeply rooted in Aspen property development and sales—and evolved into a career marked by integrity, insight, and consistent success.

Before co-founding The Shea Team at Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty, Layne served as a founding principal of Stirling Peak Properties, a boutique Aspen brokerage, and spent seven years as a top-producing agent at Douglas Elliman. With more than 20 years of experience spanning residential development, luxury home sales, resort rentals, and brokerage management, she is recognized as one of Aspen’s most trusted and accomplished real estate professionals.

Layne is known for her genuine, collaborative approach, deep market knowledge, and intuitive understanding of her clients’ goals. Her extensive network and lifelong local insight enable her to connect buyers and sellers across Aspen, Snowmass Village, and the Roaring Fork Valley’s most sought-after neighborhoods.

Outside of work, Layne embraces the mountain lifestyle with her husband and business partner, Michael Shea, and their two sons, Henry and Myles. Whether skiing, biking, hiking, or rafting through the Elk Mountains, Layne’s passion for the outdoors—and for Aspen itself—is at the heart of everything she does.
