Gwen Steele

Gwen Steele has consistently been among the multi-million-dollar top producers in the High Country since starting her real estate career in 2005. She is often among the top 1 percent of over-600 agents in the area. Gwen exceeds the hopes and expectations of her clients by her reliability, trustworthiness, and unwavering commitment to doing her best.

Gwen, a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, graduated from St. Mary's College and University of South Carolina. She continued her concentration in English studies in graduate school at The University of Georgia. After teaching English in Georgia, and flying for Pan American Airlines, Gwen joined IBM in Charlotte. Her career with IBM included sales, marketing, and management. She was a staff instructor for sales training in IBM's training headquarters in Dallas, and a marketing manager in New Orleans and Washington, D.C.

After living in New York, Washington, Boston, and Chicago, Gwen and her husband, Jim, moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where she served as a manufacturer's representative for several high-end bed linen companies.

Gwen earned the Graduate of REALTOR® Institute, GRI, designation, held by only 12 percent of North Carolina agents. She has also earned the Accredited Buyer Representative, Seniors Real Estate Specialist, and the Certified Residential Specialist designations which is held by less than 3 percent of agents nationally.

Gwen loves God's creation of the Appalachian Mountains and is grateful to live in one of the most special places on earth. The Steele's belong to Middle Fork Baptist Church, the Blowing Rock Historical Society, and BRAHM.
